Every year, thousands of young Congolese leave school or university and start looking for their first job. Unfortunately, finding employment is not always easy, especially in a competitive job market. Many companies prefer candidates who already have some work experience, which can be frustrating for someone who has just graduated.

To improve their chances, career advisers often suggest that young job-seekers write a clear and well-organized curriculum vitae, prepare carefully for interviews, and be ready to explain what skills they can offer. Volunteering or doing an internship, even without pay, can also help young people gain valuable experience and make useful contacts.

Some experts believe that the government should create more programmes to help young graduates find employment, for example by encouraging small businesses to hire and train new workers. Without such support, many talented young people may struggle for months, or even years, before finding a stable job.

Unfortunately, many families, especially in cities, tend to eat too much fried and sugary food, which can lead to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, or high blood pressure later in life.

Simple habits can make a real difference: cooking meals at home instead of buying fast food, drinking water instead of sugary drinks, and eating more vegetables. Nutritionists insist that a healthy diet, even on a small budget, is possible if families plan their meals carefully and choose local, seasonal produce whenever they can.

The Congo Basin forest is the second largest tropical rainforest in the world, after the Amazon. It plays a vital role for the whole planet, absorbing huge amounts of carbon dioxide and producing oxygen, while also being home to thousands of species of plants and animals.

However, this precious forest is under increasing threat. As the population of Central Africa continues to grow rapidly, more land is needed for farming, housing, and roads, which often leads to deforestation.
